Visa and Passport
There are no Visa requirements for citizens of the European Economic Community (EEC) countries, the United States of America, Canada, Japan, Andorra, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Cyprus, Finland, Malta, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Republic of Korea, for three months. However, people from these countries who want to prolong they stay must apply for a Carte de Séjour. In order to apply for it, they must show proof of income at least equal to the minimum wage. Citizens from all the countries not mentioned above must hold a Visa to enter France. A valid passport is required to enter France. In the case you lose your passport or you are robbed of it, report to the embassy or consulate and the police.
To prolog your stay after three months or after the validity of your Visa has expired, you must obtain a residence permit. Lost Property
If property is lost, after 48 hours, call the Lost and Found Office, Prefecture de Police.

You will be required to pay 4% of the value of the item found.
